Day 2 - Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey-Chambertin

  1.  Domaine Droughin-LaRoze: In the village of Gevrey-Chambertin there are 9 Grand Cru vineyards. One of the top winemakers (vignerons) that has most of its processing and cellar is Domain Droughin-LaRoze. They have 6 different plots of Grand Cru and multiple wines in the Premier Cru, Village, and Regional Appellations.
  2. Fixin: We stopped for lunch at a great location Le Cave de Clos. While we didn’t go to any wineries, Fixin is a great village full of lesser known wines.
  3. Marsannay: Our last stop of the day was at the Chateau de Marsanny, where the vineyard was beautiful, but the wine was average.
