Rodin Sculpture Garden

We visited the world famous Musee Rodin the following day. This was the location of Rodin’s home during the last year’s of his extravagant life in the late 19th century. He surrounded himself with other artists in Paris - Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse. Besides making his own sculptures he had a large collection of art from many of the masters. The garden featured his most famous sculptures. We were particularly moved by the extravagent piece called the Gates of Hell (sculpted after Dante’s Inferno). This piece produced the famous “The Thinker”. We also loved the their sculpture called “The Lovers”.
